HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 154 Commending Red Hart.

 

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 26, 2016

 

WHEREAS, Red Hart of Greenbush claimed a first-place award in his class at the World Records Benchpress Competition in Virginia Beach; and

WHEREAS, competing in the 152-pound class and the 70 - 74 age group, Red Hart bench pressed 225.9 pounds at the drug-free, powerlifting event; and

WHEREAS, Red Hart convincingly broke the previous world record of 159.8 pounds, which had stood since 2009; and

WHEREAS, Red Hart works out at the Eastern Shore Family YMCA and is sponsored by Bizzotto’s Gallery-Cafe in Onancock; his exceptional accomplishment is an inspiration to other athletes in the Commonwealth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Red Hart hereby be commended for receiving a first-place award at the World Records Benchpress Competition in Virginia Beach; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Red Hart as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for his world record-setting achievement and best wishes for the future.
