Commending Frankie Hogan.

WHEREAS, Frankie Hogan, a respected public servant who dedicated more than four decades to serving the Buena Vista community, retired as mayor and a member of the Buena Vista City Council in 2015; and

WHEREAS, desirous to be of service to his fellow residents, Frankie Hogan ran for and was elected to the Buena Vista City Council, taking office on May 8, 1974; and

WHEREAS, Frankie Hogan faithfully executed his duties as mayor and a council member with the highest integrity and performed many acts of kindness that enriched the lives of many of the citizens of the City of Buena Vista and the surrounding area; and

WHEREAS, during Frankie Hogan’s tenure on the Buena Vista City Council, he provided invaluable guidance in moving Buena Vista through a period of significant growth and transition; and

WHEREAS, Frankie Hogan demonstrated exceptional dedication to bettering the lives of his fellow residents and provided valuable input to the many boards and committees on which he served; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Frankie Hogan on the occasion of his retirement as Mayor of the City of Buena Vista; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Frankie Hogan as an expression of the General Assembly’s admiration for his dedicated service to the City of Buena Vista and the Commonwealth.
