2016 SESSION
WHEREAS, Terrence J. Schulte has ably and honorably served as the executive vice president of the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians for 26 years; and
WHEREAS, Terrence “Terry” J. Schulte ably and honorably served as the executive vice president of the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians for 20 years; and
WHEREAS, Terry Schulte ably and honorably served on the staff of the American Academy of Family Physicians for 11 years, including service as vice president; and
WHEREAS, Terry Schulte’s exemplary leadership skills and experience greatly benefited all three organizations in advancing the best in family medicine and patient care over the years; and
WHEREAS, Terry Schulte mentored many of his fellow family physicians over the years, supporting them in their advancement to major leadership positions in state and national office; and
WHEREAS, Terry Schulte followed in his father’s footsteps as a family physician, and over the years his heart and energy have always been focused on contributing to the field of family medicine; and
WHEREAS, after reaching the twilight of an exceptional career that he self-deprecatingly describes as “rather mediocre,” Terry Schulte retired from the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Terrence J. Schulte for his many years of service to the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Terrence J. Schulte as an expression of the General Assembly’s admiration for his outstanding service and contributions to the field of family medicine in the Commonwealth.
