2016 SESSION
WHEREAS, Sam Stribling has served the residents of the City of Falls Church for 30 years as a member of the Falls Church Public Works Street Division; and
WHEREAS, Sam Stribling joined the Falls Church Public Works Street Division in February 1985, and has proven himself to be a dedicated and dependable employee; in addition to his regular duties, he has consistently and ably served the city in emergency situations; and
WHEREAS, in the summer, Sam Stribling works to repair the City of Falls Church’s 42 lane miles of road; he also manages leaf collection in the fall and is one of the city’s most experienced truck drivers for snow removal; and
WHEREAS, in 2012, Sam Stribling was promoted to crew leader; his positive leadership style has helped to keep his crew motivated and unified in their goals; and
WHEREAS, throughout his career, Sam Stribling has received numerous awards and accolades for his commitment to excellence, including letters of thanks from both his fellow employees and the citizens of Falls Church; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Sam Stribling for his 30 years of service with the Falls Church Public Works Street Division; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Sam Stribling as an expression of the General Assembly’s admiration for his dedicated service to the City of Falls Church.
