WHEREAS, Geanina Poff, manager of a McDonald’s restaurant in Roanoke, has won a Ray Kroc Award for being one of the company’s top restaurant managers in the world; and

WHEREAS, the awards, which are named for Ray Kroc, founder of McDonald’s Corporation, acknowledge and reward hardworking restaurant managers who deliver superior results in team performance and operational excellence; and

WHEREAS, Geanina Poff, who has worked for the company for 18 years, is the manager of the McDonald’s restaurant on U.S. Route 460 and Orange Avenue; she was nominated for a Ray Kroc Award because of her commitment to her customers and staff and her tireless determination to operate an excellent restaurant; and

WHEREAS, the staff at the busy McDonald’s restaurant in Roanoke greatly admire Geanina Poff’s consistent and fair approach to all employees, regardless of the position they hold; and

WHEREAS, Geanina Poff was one of 340 McDonald’s managers around the world to receive a Ray Kroc Award, which includes a cash prize and a trophy; she was nominated for the honor by the owner-operator of the restaurant; and

WHEREAS, additionally, Geanina Poff will travel to Orlando in April 2016 to attend an awards gala honoring all of the winners of the Ray Kroc Award; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Geanina Poff, manager of the McDonald’s restaurant on U.S. Route 460 and Orange Avenue in Roanoke, for receiving a Ray Kroc Award; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Geanina Poff as an expression of the General Assembly’s congratulations and admiration for her outstanding work and stellar achievement.
