Celebrating the life of Cecil Taylor.

WHEREAS, Cecil Taylor, a respected veteran and a hardworking member of the Green Cove community, died on January 22, 2016; and

WHEREAS, a native of Grayson County, Cecil “Zeke” Taylor lived most of his life in Green Cove; he retired from Electro-Mechanical Corporation in Bristol after many years of service; and

WHEREAS, a patriotic citizen of the Commonwealth and the United States, Zeke Taylor honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Zeke Taylor enjoyed fellowship and worship with the community as a longtime member of Green Cove Missionary Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Zeke Taylor will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Jackie; children, Rodney, Doug, Tony, Thomas, Rebecca, and Laura, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Cecil Taylor, an active member of the Green Cove community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Cecil Taylor as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his memory.
