2016 SESSION
WHEREAS, Karen Correia Radley of King George County, a respected entrepreneur with Radley Automotive Group and a beloved member of the community, died on April 5, 2015; and
WHEREAS, a native of Los Banos, California, Karen Radley relocated to the Fredericksburg area and earned a reputation as a knowledgeable, hard-working, and highly professional leader in her role as a car dealer with Radley Automotive Group; and
WHEREAS, Karen Radley also worked to serve and strengthen the community as a member of several local boards; she privately supported many charitable organizations and was admired for her quiet kindness; and
WHEREAS, Karen Radley often put other people’s needs before her own, and her compassion extended to animals; she proudly owned horses, and her house often became a home to strays or other animals in need; and
WHEREAS, developing a keen appreciation for world cultures throughout her life, Karen Radley traveled to more than 100 countries, documenting her journeys through stunning photography and vivid storytelling; and
WHEREAS, predeceased by her son, Cory, Karen Radley will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Vincent, and numerous other family members, friends, colleagues, and customers; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Karen Correia Radley, a well-known member of the King George County community; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Karen Correia Radley as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for her memory.
