Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Secretary of Health and Human Resources shall convene a task force composed of child-care providers and other stakeholders to review requirements for certain categories of child-care providers, including those exempt from licensure pursuant to § 63.2-1715 of the Code of Virginia, and to develop recommendations to promote the health, safety, and development of children in child-care settings. Such task force shall submit to the Governor and the Chairmen of the House Committee on Health, Welfare and Institutions and the Senate Committee on Rehabilitation and Social Services an executive summary and a report on its activities, findings, and recommendations to promote the health, safety, and development of children in child-care settings by November 1, 2016. The executive summary and report shall be submitted as provided in the procedures of the Division of Legislative Automated Systems for the processing of legislative documents and reports and shall be posted on the General Assembly's website.
