CHAPTER 451 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 9 of Title 15.2 a section numbered 15.2-926.3, relating to local regulation of certain aircraft. [H 412] Approved March 11, 2016

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 9 of Title 15.2 a section numbered 15.2-926.3 as follows:

§ 15.2-926.3. Local regulation of certain aircraft.

No locality may regulate the use of privately owned, unmanned aircraft system as defined in § 19.2-60.1 within its boundaries.

2. That the provisions of this act shall expire on July 1, 2019.
