SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Board of Medicine; licensure. Provides that supervised clinical training that is received in the United States as part of the curriculum of an international medical school may fulfill the requirements for licensure by the Board of Medicine if the clinical training is in a program acceptable to the Board and deemed a substantially equivalent experience. Current law requires such clinical training to be received in a hospital, institution, or school that offers an approved residency program in the specialty area for the relevant clinical training. This bill was incorporated into SB 1120.
