SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Establishment of quarantine zones by the Governor. Authorizes the Governor to establish quarantine zones at points of entry into the Commonwealth, including airports, seaports, and marine terminals, for the purpose of quarantining individuals who have arrived from foreign countries in which a communicable disease of public health threat, which includes the Ebola virus, has caused the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to issue a Level 3 Travel Health Notice. The bill also authorizes the Governor to direct the State Health Commissioner to declare the quarantine of such individuals.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Establishment of quarantine zones by the Governor. The bill also authorizes the Governor to direct the State Health Commissioner to declare the quarantine of such individuals. The bill contains an emergency clause.
