SB 1021 Instructional school hours; instructional time.

SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

Instructional hours; waivers. Authorizes the Board of Education to grant a waiver to a school division that is unable to meet the required 990 instructional hours in a school year because of severe weather conditions or other emergency situations.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Standards of Accreditation; instructional time. Authorizes local school boards to count up to 15 minutes per day of recess in their calculation of the required instructional hours for the standard school day at the elementary school level.
