SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Community services boards and behavioral health authorities; information for secondary school students about available services. Requires each community services board and each behavioral health authority to annually make a presentation to each local school board in the locality or localities that the community services board or the behavioral health authority serves regarding services available to students with emotional disability, intellectual disability, or mental illness upon transition into the community after graduation from high school. The bill requires each local school board or its designee to annually make a presentation about services available through the community services board or the behavioral health authority to high school students with emotional disability, intellectual disability, mental illness, or any combination thereof and their parents. The bill requires each such student and his parents to attend the annual presentation of the local school board at least once before the student graduates from high school.
