SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Department of Criminal Justice Services; prescription drug abuse policy. Requires the Department of Criminal Justice Services to establish, publish, and disseminate a model policy or guideline for law-enforcement personnel involved in criminal investigations that embodies current best practices for identifying persons who obtain prescription drugs and the methods used to obtain such drugs (i) because such person has a substance abuse or dependence problem or (ii) for the purpose of diverting such substances to another person.
