HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 272 Offered January 14, 2015 Prefiled February 23, 2015 Commending Wolf Hills Brewing Company. ---------- Patrons-- Pillion and O'Quinn ----------

WHEREAS, Wolf Hills Brewing Company, a craft beer brewery in historic Abingdon, celebrated five years of providing exceptional products to the community in 2014; and

WHEREAS, founded in 2009 by Chris L. Burcher, Cameron Bell, Richard Buddington, Jr., and Matt Bundy, Wolf Hills Brewing Company takes its name from a story about Daniel Boone encountering wolves in the area that would later become Abingdon; and

WHEREAS, Wolf Hills Brewing Company has thrived in its early years, crafting fresh, savory beers that have received acclaim in the region; the company hired Drake M. Scott as its head brewer in 2012; and

WHEREAS, Wolf Hills Brewing Company combines time-honored brewing techniques with the freshest ingredients to offer a wide range of core, seasonal, and specialty beers, available on tap or by the can at several local restaurants and the brewery’s tasting room; and

WHEREAS, with its commitment to excellence, Wolf Hills Brewing Company contributes to the Commonwealth’s reputation as a premier source of craft beers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Wolf Hills Brewing Company hereby be commended on the occasion of its fifth anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Wolf Hills Brewing Company as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for its contributions to the region and the Commonwealth and best wishes for the future.
