Commending the Loudoun First Responders Foundation.

WHEREAS, the Loudoun First Responders Foundation works diligently to support the law-enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and other first responders who serve and protect the members of the Loudoun County community; and

WHEREAS, the Loudoun First Responders Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Leesburg, raises money and builds partnerships with other service organizations, individuals, and businesses to provide financial support to any Loudoun County public safety officer facing injury, illness, or other conditions sustained in the line of duty; and

WHEREAS, the Loudoun First Responders Foundation works to honor the service and sacrifices of public safety officers and their families and builds mutual trust and respect with the community by allowing individuals, organizations, and businesses to take active roles in public safety concerns; and

WHEREAS, the Loudoun First Responders Foundation also facilitates educational opportunities for members of local police, firefighting, and rescue departments; and

WHEREAS, the benevolent mission of the Loudoun First Responders Foundation is a reminder of the daily dangers faced by law-enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and other first responders as they work to safeguard and strengthen the community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Loudoun First Responders Foundation hereby be commended for its important work to support first responders and their families; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Loudoun First Responders Foundation as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for the organization’s contributions to the Loudoun County community.
