HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 917
Celebrating the life of Angeles H. Delloro.

WHEREAS, Angeles H. Delloro, a respected veteran of the Vietnam War and a dedicated community leader in Virginia Beach, died on December 20, 2014; and

WHEREAS, a native of Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines, Angeles Delloro served the United States during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Navy; and

WHEREAS, Angeles Delloro earned a Purple Heart during the war and retired after a 20-year military career; and

WHEREAS, Angeles Delloro was an admired leader in the Filipino community in Virginia Beach; he was a member of several cultural organizations and served as past president of the Bicol Association of Tidewater; and

WHEREAS, Angeles Delloro worked to strengthen and enhance the community as a past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus San Lorenzo Council; and

WHEREAS, Angeles Delloro will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his beloved wife of 54 years, Juanita; children, Angeles, Ricardo, Romeo, David, and Lolita; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Angeles H. Delloro, a veteran and a community leader in Virginia Beach; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Angeles H. Delloro as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his memory.
