14103434DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That, recognizing the unique relationship between the Commonwealth and certain of its state-recognized Indian Tribes, and notwithstanding any other provision of law, on any Indian Reservation recognized by the Commonwealth whereupon a state-recognized Indian Tribe has contracted with one or more qualified firms or individuals to perform building official functions, under the Uniform Statewide Building Code (§ 36-97 et seq. of the Code of Virginia) or equivalent Tribal Law, on the Reservation, neither the Commonwealth nor any locality therein is responsible for the enforcement of the provisions of the Uniform Statewide Building Code (§ 36-97 et seq. of the Code of Virginia).
