HOUSE BILL NO. 2241 Offered January 19, 2015 A BILL to create uniform student eligibility for an expedited retake of a Standards of Learning test. ---------- Patron-- Austin ---------- Referred to Committee on Education ----------

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The Board of Education shall promulgate regulations to provide the same criteria for eligibility for an expedited retake of any Standards of Learning test to each student regardless of grade level or course.

§ 2. Each school division may deem any student in grades three through eight who scores in the 375-399 range on any Standards of Learning test in the spring or summer terms of the 2014-2015 school year to be eligible for an expedited retake of such test.

2. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
