Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 1 of Title 23 a section numbered 23-9.2:15 as follows:

§ 23-9.2:15. Academic transcripts; documentation of dismissal.

A public institution of higher education shall document the dismissal of any student who has been dismissed for violation of the institution's sexual misconduct policy, student code of conduct, or institution's honor code on such student's academic transcript. The institution shall notify and receive confirmation from each student that the student understands that any such dismissal will be documented on his academic transcript.
