Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-1529.2 as follows:

§ 46.2-1529.2. Sale of used motor vehicles recalled by their manufacturers prohibited; penalty.

No motor vehicle dealer shall sell or offer for sale any used motor vehicle that he knows or should know has been recalled by its manufacturer. Violation of this section shall constitute a Class 1 misdemeanor.
