Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 54.1-4201.2 as follows:

§ 54.1-4201.2. Display or distribution of information by vendors or exhibitors.

Each vendor or exhibitor in the firearms show shall display at his designated location a sign that contains his full legal name, the name and address of the business, if applicable, and his telephone number. A vendor or exhibitor in the show may display or distribute additional information that describes the items to be sold, traded, or displayed and the cost to purchase the item at his designated location. No vendor or exhibitor in the show may advertise that he is not required to obtain criminal history record information for potential customers or any other substantially similar statement.

The promoter shall examine each designated location to ensure compliance with the provisions of this section.

For the purposes of this section, "designated location" means the table, booth, or portion of the facility or property where the firearms show is being conducted that is assigned by the show promoter to the vendor or exhibitor to conduct his display or sales.
