15102304DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 29.1-318.1 as follows:
§ 29.1-318.1. Special permit to stock and sell fish.
The Department shall establish a special permit to stock and sell fish propagated and raised in waters wholly located within the boundaries of a person's land. The special permit shall be issued upon application to the Department to the landowner whose property contains the body of water where the fish will be stocked. The fee for the special permit shall be based on the costs to the Department of developing and administering the special permit. The fish stocked in such private waters shall not be taken directly from state waters. The special permit shall be valid for two years and may be renewed by application to the Department.
