Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 15.2-902.1 as follows:

§ 15.2-902.1. Authority of locality; notice of commercial application of pesticides.

Any locality may by ordinance provide that the owners of residential property consisting of one-half acre or less provide to adjoining property owners 48 hours' advance notice of the application of pesticides by a commercial applicator. The ordinance may specify the method of the notice required by this section.
