HOUSE BILL NO. 1490 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee on Education on January 21, 2015) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Habeeb) A BILL to create uniform student eligibility for an expedited retake of a Standards of Learning test.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Board of Education shall promulgate regulations to provide the same criteria for eligibility for an expedited retake of any Standards of Learning test, with the exception of the writing Standards of Learning tests, to each student regardless of grade level or course.

2. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
