SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Elementary and secondary school students; expulsion. Clarifies that students who have committed certain weapons or drug offenses are not required to be expelled regardless of the facts of the particular situation. This bill is identical to HB 752 and HB 198.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Public schools; appeal process for suspensions and expulsions. Requires that school board regulations outlining procedures for short-term suspensions, long-term suspensions, and expulsions allow an appeal to the full school board.
