SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

Higher education; students' personal information. Prohibits public institutions of higher education from selling students' personal information, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses, to any person. The bill does not apply to certain transactions initiated by the student.

Higher education; students' personal information. Prohibits public institutions of higher education from selling, trading, releasing, or otherwise distributing students' personal information, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and social security numbers, to third-party vendors.
