SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Procedures for notifying accused of certificate of analysis; two-way video conferencing. Reduces the timing for the attorney for the Commonwealth to give the defendant notice of his intent to present testimony by the person who performed the analysis via two-way video conferencing from 28 days to 10 days. The bill also eliminates the requirement that the defendant file written objections to the use of such testimony 14 days after receiving notice from the attorney for the Commonwealth and only requires the defendant to object prior to the commencement of trial.
