SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Public institutions of higher education; admission of students domiciled in Virginia. Provides that the board of visitors or other governing body of each public institution of higher education, except for the Virginia Military Institute, Norfolk State University, and Virginia State University, shall establish rules and regulations requiring that by the start of the 2019-2020 academic year at least 75 percent of undergraduate students admitted at the institution are domiciled in Virginia. The bill requires each board of visitors or governing board to recover any lost revenue by increasing the tuition charged to out-of-state undergraduate students.
