SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Public schools; individual school performance grading system; delay. Delays the implementation of the A-to-F school performance grading system by two years, to October 1, 2016. The bill also requires the Board of Education to develop a preliminary plan for the school performance grading system and provide public notice and solicit public comment on the system. This bill is identical to SB 324.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Grading system for individual school performance; delay; study; report. Delays the implementation of the A-to-F school grading system by one year and requires the Subcommittee on Education Reform of the House Committee on Education to meet at the call of the chairman of the Committee during the 2014 interim to study, review, and make recommendations on the Board of Education's implementation of the system and report its finding and recommendations to the Board and the General Assembly.
