2014 SESSION
WHEREAS, Claudette Keene Mullins, a dedicated public servant from Richmond, will retire from the Department of Motor Vehicles in April 2014; and
WHEREAS, raised in Buchanan County, Claudette Mullins graduated from Grundy High School in 1957; shortly thereafter, she married her husband of 52 years, Jerry, and together they raised two children, Christopher and Suzanne; and
WHEREAS, beginning work with the Department of Motor Vehicles in 1993, Claudette Mullins specialized in customer service; she has been a valuable member of the department’s staff due to her effortless interactions with the public and the members of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, proudly serving the Commonwealth, Claudette Mullins issued license plates for the members of the House of Delegates and Senate and handled concerns expressed by their constituents; and
WHEREAS, a cherished and admired staff member of the Department of Motor Vehicles, Claudette Mullins has become well known and respected for her positive attitude, sense of humor, and exemplary work ethic; and
WHEREAS, for over 20 years, Claudette Mullins has contributed to the Commonwealth and the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles through her distinguished and committed service; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Claudette Keene Mullins on the occasion of her retirement; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Claudette Keene Mullins as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect and admiration for her years of dedicated service to the Commonwealth.
