Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The Board of Education shall review the Standards of Learning assessments and develop a plan to reduce, by the 2015-2016 school year, the number of such assessments  [ , based on the number of such assessments required during the 2013-2014 school year,  ] by at least 25 percent. The Board shall report its findings and recommendations to the General Assembly and the Governor no later than October 1, 2014.
