HOUSE BILL NO. 994 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee for Courts of Justice on February 3, 2014) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Comstock) A BILL to direct the Virginia Code Commission to amend the catchline to § 18.2-47 to reflect that it applies to human trafficking offenses.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. Pursuant to the authority set forth in § 30-149 of the Code of Virginia, the Virginia Code Commission shall amend the catchline of § 18.2-47 of the Code of Virginia to read as follows: "§ 18.2-47. Abduction, human trafficking, and kidnapping defined; penalty."
