Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-1220.1 as follows:

§ 46.2-1220.1. Localities may by ordinance prohibit parking that blocks access to mailboxes.

The governing body of any locality may by ordinance prohibit the parking of any vehicle so as to block access to any mailbox.
