SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Uniform assessments; qualified assessors. Requires the Department of Medical Assistance Services to enter into contracts with public and private entities to conduct community-based and institutional screenings in jurisdictions in which the screening team has been unable to complete screenings within 30 days of an individual's application. The bill also provides that every individual who requests a screening for the purpose of enrollment in a PACE plan shall be eligible for such screening, regardless of whether the individual is eligible under the state plan for medical assistance. The bill requires the Board of Medical Assistance Services to promulgate regulations to implement the provisions of the bill within 280 days of its enactment.
