SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Boards of visitors and the State Board for Community Colleges; faculty member. Adds one faculty member to the board of visitors of each public institution of higher education and of the State Board for Community Colleges to be appointed by the other members of the board for a four-year term after election by the respective institution's faculty senate. The faculty member has voting privileges. Currently, each board of visitors and the State Board for Community Colleges may appoint one or more nonvoting advisory faculty members for a term of at least one year from a list of individuals elected by the respective institution's faculty senate. The bill contains technical amendments.
