SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Commission on Federal Oversight; established; report. Creates the Commission on Federal Oversight, consisting of eight legislative members representing the House of Delegates and the Senate, to meet twice a year with the United States Senate members of the Virginia Congressional Delegation, and to communicate with Virginia's members of the United States House of Representatives, to address public policy issues for which both federal and state policy makers have responsibility. The Division of Legislative Services will provide staff support, and other state agencies will provide technical assistance upon request. The act establishing the Commission will not become effective unless an appropriation of funds effectuating the purpose of the act is included in the general appropriation act passed during the 2013 Regular Session of the General Assembly that becomes law.
