2013 SESSION
13103820DWHEREAS, the Liberty Christian Academy High School football team was victorious in back-to-back 2011 and 2012 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association state football championships; and
WHEREAS, the Liberty Christian Academy Bulldogs’ outstanding achievements were realized through personal sacrifice, commitment to a goal, and unity of purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Liberty Christian Academy Bulldogs were ably led by head coach Frank Rocco and assistant coaches Chris Rocco, Steve Ackley, Richard Trent, Jason Daniluk, Chris McCallister, Mike Roberts, Andrew Jordan, Brian Farrow, Jim Gregory, Ben Black, and Doug Burks; and
WHEREAS, every player on the team performed admirably, including Dakota Kelly, Jon Brado, Tyler Newman, Tyler Meeks, Tre Bradley, Zach Clinton, Cameron Jones, Carrington Mosley, Brent Ferguson, Matthew Lewis, Storm Slater, B.J. Farrow, Marcus Alexander, Eli Boyes, Josh Barrick, Bryan Pollard, Aaron Bannister, Jared Jauch, and Hunter Johnson; and
WHEREAS, also including, A.J. Farrow, Tony Gaines, Brian Ogle, Bailey Corell, Jordan Foster, Stephen Heuber, Logan MacGregor, Nathan Sloan, Blake Papet, Hunter Sherman, Andrew Howard, Tanner Hartman, Andrew Lee, Carson Williams, Jonathan Lacy, Sam Isaacson, Blane Markham, Gerry Harter, Braxton Pfaff, Kameron Russell, and Grant Johnson; and
WHEREAS, competing on a level that demands perfection, the fine athletes of the Liberty Christian Academy High School football team have put on two exciting performances in the 2011 and 2012 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association state finals; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Liberty Christian Academy High School football team for winning back-to-back Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association state football championships; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Frank Rocco, head coach of the Liberty Christian Academy High School football team, as an expression of the General Assembly’s admiration for the team’s stellar athleticism and exemplary sportsmanship and best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.
