SENATE BILL NO. 974 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee on Education and Health on January 24, 2013) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Senator Blevins) A BILL to require the Board of Health to promulgate regulations governing implementation of electronic monitoring in nursing home residents' rooms.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Board of Health shall promulgate regulations governing the implementation of voluntary electronic monitoring in the rooms of residents of nursing homes, which shall include existing policies and procedures set forth in the Board's guidelines governing electronic monitoring of nursing home resident's rooms and described in the publication "Electronic Monitoring of Residents' Rooms."
