WHEREAS, while the North Cross Raiders mounted a stalwart defense to win the second game, the Celtics broke through and rallied to win the match 3 - 1 with notable leads in the third and fourth games; and

WHEREAS, advancing to the VISAA Division III state championship, the Celtics maintained an impressive nine-game winning streak to win the tournament, defending their 2011 state title; and

WHEREAS, seniors and four-year starters, Mairin Guilfoyle and Ava Perez, shined in the state final, with Perez serving 28 assists and Guilfoyle hammering home match point; and

WHEREAS, the 2012 season is a credit to the talent and the unyielding performance of the entire team; the sturdy leadership of Aaron King, who now holds his second state championship title in his two-year tenure as head coach; and the support of the administration, students, and fans; now, therefore, be it
