WHEREAS, Stuart L. Hall is a loyal servant of the Commonwealth, who has dedicated decades of his life to the betterment of Bath County; and

WHEREAS, Stuart Hall worked to strengthen and enhance the Bath County community for over 36 years, including as an active member of the Bath County Board of Supervisors; and

WHEREAS, Stuart Hall worked to increase local residents’ access to water and sewage facilities as a member and the chair of the Public Service Authority; he also helped ensure the safety of local residents by leading projects to pave and improve roads; and

WHEREAS, as a firm supporter of education, Stuart Hall led efforts to improve public schools in Bath County; and

WHEREAS, Stuart Hall worked to benefit his fellow members of the community on the Bath County Welfare Board for 16 years; he was instrumental in acquiring grants to help upgrade existing homes in the county and build new ones for those in need; and

WHEREAS, deeply dedicated to safeguarding the people of Bath County, Stuart Hall helped to provide 911 services to the county as the Emergency Services Director; he also helped organize several fire and rescue departments in the area; and

WHEREAS, Stuart Hall is an exemplar of the integrity and the dedication to duty displayed by local elected officials throughout the Commonwealth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Stuart L. Hall hereby be commended on his decades of outstanding public service to Bath County; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Stuart L. Hall as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for his consistent leadership and many valued contributions to Bath County and the Commonwealth.
