Commending Taylor Elizabeth Hogge.

WHEREAS, Taylor Elizabeth Hogge, a senior at Warhill High School in Williamsburg, is commended for her outstanding service to the community; and

WHEREAS, a graduate of Matthew Whaley Elementary School and James Blair Middle School, Taylor Hogge is a member of the French Club, the Art Club, the French National Art Society, and the National Art Honor Society at Warhill High School and serves as a teacher’s assistant to a French teacher; and

WHEREAS, an exemplary student, Taylor Hogge also devotes her time and energies to helping those around her through a variety of community service activities; and

WHEREAS, Taylor Hogge helps with her church’s Vacation Bible School and created a program known as “Undie Sunday” to collect undergarments for Grove Christian Outreach Center’s Clothing Closet, where she volunteers; and

WHEREAS, Taylor Hogge also helps distribute food to the community and raises awareness of homelessness through participation in One Night Without a Home; and

WHEREAS, for the past three years, Taylor Hogge has spent one week each year helping build homes in Mexico for families in need; and

WHEREAS, an accomplished and compassionate young lady, Taylor Hogge has touched the lives of numerous individuals through her community service activities; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Taylor Elizabeth Hogge hereby be commended for her outstanding service to the community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Taylor Elizabeth Hogge as an expression of the House of Delegates’ admiration for her commitment to helping those in need.
