13103469DWHEREAS, Robert Criner, president of Criner Remodeling in Newport News, was honored as the National Association of Home Builders’ 2012 Remodeler of the Year at a ceremony in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 11, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) annually selects an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the remodeling industry, been extensively involved with NAHB, and demonstrated superior business management to receive the coveted Remodeler of the Year award, which is cosponsored by Qualified Remodeler and Pella Corp.; and
WHEREAS, Robert Criner began his career as a helper and foreman before opening his own business, originally known as Criner Construction Company, when he was just 21; he later rebranded the company as Criner Remodeling; and
WHEREAS, Robert Criner built his company focused on exceptional project design, professional staff, and client satisfaction, which has earned him numerous awards on the local and national levels; and
WHEREAS, over the years, Robert Criner earned numerous industry designations, gained invaluable business and industry experience, and expanded his staff, which now consists of 11 contracting professionals who have an average of more than 20 years of experience; and
WHEREAS, Criner Remodeling, under the leadership of Robert Criner, proudly celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2012 and moved into a new office location to better serve its customers; and
WHEREAS, a respected business and industry leader, Robert Criner has made many contributions to the remodeling industry and is a worthy recipient of the NAHB’s prestigious Remodeler of the Year award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Robert Criner on his selection by the National Association of Home Builders as the 2012 Remodeler of the Year; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Robert Criner as an expression of the General Assembly’s congratulations, admiration for his commitment to the remodeling and home building industry, and best wishes in his future endeavors.
