HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 612
Commending Rose Hill Veterinary Practice.

WHEREAS, in 2013 Rose Hill Veterinary Practice will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its Large Animal Clinic and the 10th anniversary of its Small Animal Clinic; and

WHEREAS, founded by Dr. Thomas B. Massie, Jr., in 1998, Rose Hill Veterinary Practice set out to provide crucial care to large animals in a community that needed it; and

WHEREAS, the Large Animal Clinic began as an ambulatory practice staffed by one veterinarian, but grew to include two additional highly trained veterinarians; and

WHEREAS, in 2003 Rose Hill Veterinary Practice expanded to include a second facility, the Small Animal Clinic, providing the attentive care found in the Large Animal Clinic to household pets and other small animals; and

WHEREAS, in 2006 the Large Animal Clinic augmented its farm-to-farm services by opening a cutting-edge treatment facility designed to provide comprehensive in-house care; and

WHEREAS, the knowledgeable, compassionate, and professional staff at Rose Hill Veterinary Practice has been a boon to Rappahannock County by treating beloved pets, but also animals that are depended upon by many in the community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Rose Hill Veterinary Practice on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of its Large Animal Clinic and the 10th anniversary of its Small Animal Clinic; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Dr. Thomas B. Massie, Jr., founder of Rose Hill Veterinary Practice, as an expression of the General Assembly’s admiration for the organization’s 15 years of benevolent service to the Rappahannock community.
