13100948DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 16.1-278.19 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 16.1-278.19. Attorney fees.
In any matter properly before the court, the court may award attorneys' reasonable
attorney fees and costs on
behalf of any party as the court deems appropriate based on the relative
financial ability of the parties. An award of attorney
fees and costs pursuant to this section may be made pendente
lite or at any time the matter is pending before the
court.
