2012 SPECIAL SESSION I
WHEREAS, Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools formed Robotics Team 4394—Team Opportunity; and
WHEREAS, Robotics Team 4394 worked to design, build, program, and operate a robot; and
WHEREAS, the work of Robotics Team 4394 exemplifies scholastic achievement in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics at its best; and
WHEREAS, Team Opportunity received both “The Rookie All-Star Award” and “The Highest Rookie Seed” at Virginia’s Regional Competition in Richmond; and
WHEREAS, Robotics Team 4394 earned “Top Rookie” honors at the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship held in St. Louis, Missouri, from April 25 to 28, 2012; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Robotics Team 4394 hereby be commended for its hard work, success, and dedication to scholastic achievement and competition; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to John Aughenbaugh, adviser for Robotics Team 4394, as an expression of the House of Delegates’ congratulations and admiration for the team’s many accomplishments.
