Highway noise; certain reports by VDOT required. Allows the local governing body of any county, city, or town, at its own expense, to evaluate noise from highways it may designate for analysis.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Highway noise; certain reports by VDOT required. Requires VDOT, on the request of the local governing body of any county, city, or town, to evaluate and report to the governing body on noise from highways in residential areas where the maximum speed limit is 40 miles per hour or more and traffic volume has increased by 20 percent or more in any five-year period.
