SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Notaries; conflict of interests; election petitions. Prohibits a notary employed by a candidate campaign committee or referendum committee from performing any notarial act on any petition that names the candidate or the referendum. A violation of the prohibition constitutes official misconduct on the part of the notary and voids the portions of the petition affected by the notarial act.
