SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Consumer utility tax; natural gas. Exempts public utilities and electric cooperatives from the consumer utility tax on natural gas when the natural gas is used to generate electricity at a power station. This bill is identical to SB 519.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Consumer utility tax; electric utilities. Exempts electric utilities from the local consumer utility tax on natural gas service provided to operate a natural gas fueled electricity generation facility.
