2012 SESSION
WHEREAS, C. Ann Sprouse, a gracious and thoughtful community volunteer from Chesterfield, died on May 16, 2011; and
WHEREAS, devoted to her family and community, Ann Sprouse was a compassionate and loving wife, mother, and friend; and
WHEREAS, an enthusiastic volunteer and leader, Ann Sprouse took an active role in community affairs through her membership with the Dale Ruritan Club; and
WHEREAS, Ann Sprouse served as the Dale Ruritan Club’s past president, secretary, and hospitality chair and also as the district secretary; and
WHEREAS, Ann Sprouse helped create a welcoming environment for members and provided thoughtful direction as to how the Club could best serve the local community; and
WHEREAS, Ann Sprouse generously gave of her time and talents to numerous projects that helped make Chesterfield a better place in which to live, work, and attend school; and
WHEREAS, Ann Sprouse was a woman of great faith and enjoyed worship, service, and fellowship at Southside Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, predeceased by her husband, Wayne, Ann Sprouse leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Sharon and Jerry, and their families, and her many other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of a valued community supporter, C. Ann Sprouse; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of C. Ann Sprouse as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for her memory.
